KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP investigated three separate motor vehicle collisions over the past three days, all of which the drivers were found to be impaired.
Police say just before 7:00 p.m. on August 11, 2021 officers were called to a report of a single motor vehicle in the ditch on County Road 48 in Bexley Township. Officers responded and the driver was allegedly found to be impaired by alcohol according to police.
Angela Everson, 54 years of age, of Fenelon Falls has been charged with; operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration of (80 plus).
On August 12, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers were called to a two vehicle collision. Officers attended and the ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of one of the drivers.
Thomas Loder, 34 years of age, of Oshawa, has been charged with;
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Later that same day shortly before 9:00 p.m. another single motor vehicle drove into a ditch on County Road 36 in Verulam Township. Officers arrived on scene and commenced an impaired driving investigation, which resulted in the arrest of the driver.
Marlin Vader, 59 years of age, a resident of Lindsay, was charged with; Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration of (80 plus).
