Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Fenelon Falls Man

KAWARTHA LAKES- City of Kawartha Lakes OPP laid drug charges following a traffic stop last Thursday.

Police say on the June 24, 2021, shortly after 1:00pm, City of Kawartha Lakes OPP officers initiated a stop relating to a traffic violation. The ensuing investigation led to an arrest for drug trafficking, and the seizure of a substance suspected to be cocaine, a large amount of cash, a scale and other drug paraphernalia according to police.

As a result, Steven NORMAN, 41 years of age, of Fenelon Falls, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – Under $5,000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on July 22, 2021.
