Crash Near Lindsay Results In Impaired Driving Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-A single vehicle collision on Slanted Road has resulted in impaired driving charges.

Police say on June 24, 2021 at 11:07am the Kawartha Lakes Police responded to the crash. The collision caused the road to be closed for two hours and the driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

An investigation revealed the driver of the motor vehicle had allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages according to police.

23-year-old Nicholas Aldred of Lindsay is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drug and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on August 12, 2021.
