KAWARTHA LAKES-A two vehicle collision in Bobcaygeon resulted in a local resident being arrested and charged for an alcohol related offence.
On May 26, 2021 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended the Bobcaygeon area in response to a two vehicle collision. The ensuing investigation led the officer to believe that one of the drivers had allegedly been consuming alcohol.
27 year old Devon Byatt was charged with the Criminal Code offence of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused party is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 10, 2021.
