$1 Turns Into $100,000 For Ramara Residents

KAWARTHA LAKES-Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Dona Grills and James Grills of Ramara.

The couple matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the March 13, 2021 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000! The Grills say they have been regular lottery players for 40 years. “Our favourite games are LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX and we always play ENCORE,” they shared.

Dona discovered the big win when she checked her lottery ticket at home. “I noticed the ENCORE numbers were matching and my eyes were getting bigger with each matching number,” she laughed. “I woke James up from his nap and said ‘Honey, you have to get up right now I think we won some money!'”

Dona and James, both retired from the automotive industry, plan to use their money to fix up their new house and purchase some new appliances.

“We’re smiling ear to ear,” James concluded.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Canoe Fresh Food Market on Muskoka Street in Washago.
