UPDATE:Officials at Adelaide Place in Lindsay sent an email to family of residents saying they were told by the health unit that re-tests were done on the staff members and came back negative. The Outbreak has been declared over. We are waiting for confirmation from the health unit.
KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit has declared a Coronavirus outbreak at Adelaide Place in Lindsay.
Adelaide Place is a Retirement Community located on Adelaide Street South in Lindsay. It’s unclear how many cases are linked to the outbreak or if its staff or residents. The facility’s website says all residents have received both doses of the Coronavirus vaccine.
Eight new cases of Coronavirus were reported in Kawartha Lakes today with a total of 45 active cases. 52,031 doses of the vaccine have been given to residents within the HKPR region to date.
