Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Looking For Suspect

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service has recovered a stolen vehicle and are on the hunt for the suspect.

On April 22, 2021 at 5:38am, City of Kawartha Lake Police received a report of an orange 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck, which had been stolen between midnight and 5:30am on April 22.

Police say the vehicle has been recovered on Melbourne St East.

The suspect, described as male, wearing baggy jeans, a green hard hat, carrying a black backpack, parked the vehicle on Melbourne Street East and fled the area on foot.  Multiple items were stolen from the truck according to police. officers located multiple bicycles and miscellaneous items, not belonging to the registered owner left behind in the truck.
