Coboconk Woman Charged With Impaired Driving After Allegedly Being Found Asleep Behind The Wheel Of Parked Car

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Coboconk woman is facing charges after a vehicle was allegedly found parked on the boulevard in Lindsay with the driver asleep.

Police say on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 7:47pm City of Kawartha Lakes Police received a call from a concerned citizen who had allegedly observed, a female asleep behind the wheel of a parked vehicle.

Officers attended the Victoria Ave North location and say they found the vehicle parked on the boulevard. While speaking with the driver, the officer reported observing signs of impairment and placed her under arrest.

27-year-old Demi Windsor of Coboconk has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs. The accused will appear at the Ontario of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West on June 3, 2021.
