Staff Member At Shoppers Drug Mart In Lindsay Tests Positive For Coronavirus

KAWARTHA LAKES-One staff member at Shoppers Drug Mart at 343 Kent Street West in Lindsay tested positive for Coronavirus.

The company COVID tracker says the team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The company uses the term “presumptive test” for all positive cases listed on its website. The last day the team member worked was on March 27.

Our sources say the staff member worked in the cosmetics department and team members who worked closely with this individual are now at home in self-isolation, monitoring for any symptoms.

“We have been working with the local public health team and have taken a number of steps to minimize risk, including increased sanitization protocols and enforcing social distancing practices in the store. The store also arranged for additional cleaning.” Loblaw Public Relations told Kawartha 411 News.
