Peterborough Resident Wins $100,000

KAWARTHA LAKES-Donald Melanson of Peterborough won $100,000 after matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the February 19, 2021 LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000!

“I’m a regular lottery player,” shared Donald, a retired utility worker. “My favourite games are LOTTO 6/49, LOTTO MAX, LOTTARIO and ONTARIO 49. I always play ENCORE!”

Donald says he stopped at the store on his way home from fishing and checked his ticket using the Ticket Checker. “I wasn’t sure what was going on,” he said. “I stopped at two more stores to double check!”

Donald says he told his children about his win a few days later. “They were so happy for me,” he smiled. “I will share this win with my family.”

“I feel so lucky and blessed,” he concluded.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Brookdale Kwik Mart on Chemong Road in Peterborough.
