Pontypool Resident Wins $100,000 On Encore

KAWARTHA LAKES-Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for John Turner of Pontypool.

Turner matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the February 10, 2021 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000!

Turner says he has been playing the lottery for 30 years. “This is my biggest win,” he shared. “I always play ENCORE.”

The retiree says he used the Ticket Checker at the store when he discovered his big win. “I had to scan it three times to comprehend that I won $100,000,” he said. “It was a bit of a blur!”

Turner, a father and grandfather, says he ran outside to the car to tell his wife about the win. “We were both surprised!”

He plans to save his win for when it’s safe to travel. “I want to take my whole family on a holiday together,” he concluded.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Janetville Cantina & Convenience on Pigeon Creek Road in Janetville.
