Barn On Eldon Station Road Levelled By Fire This Afternoon

KAWARTHA LAKES-A barn has been destroyed by fire on Eldon Station Road near Woodville.

The call came in to Kawartha Lakes Fire And Rescue at approximately 2:30 this afternoon. Officials say the fire started as a grass fire and wind blew the fire into the old collapsed barn. The fire also extended to a driving shed to the north of the old barn.

District Fire Chief Dave Kish told Kawartha 411 News the fire is now under control and no animals are involved.  Four stations respond for water support and available manpower. Salvage operations are now underway.
