20 Year Old Male Charged After Vehicle Window Smashed

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 20 year old man from Bethany is facing a mischief charge after the window of a vehicle was smashed.

Police say on March 16, 2021 at 4:04pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of mischief to a vehicle on Glenelg Street West in Lindsay.  A male was observed as he exited a vehicle, approached and smashed the window of another vehicle parked on the street according to police. The male returned to his vehicle and left the area at a high rate of speed.

Police located the suspect vehicle, 20-year-old Eric Mackie of Bethany is charged with mischief under $5000, dangerous operation and a Highway Traffic Act offence. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 6, 2021.
