Death Threats During Family Dispute Leads To Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-A family dispute in the Lindsay area escalated into death threats according to police.

On March 12, 2021 at 9:54am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a complaint of death threats. Police say the threats resulted from a dispute between family members, multiple threats had been made via Facebook and text messages.

As a result of an investigation, an adult has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 6, 2021.
