Lindsay Resident Finds Stranger Asleep In Their House

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay resident found a stranger in their home, twice

On March 13th at 7:20pm the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service were called to a Glenelg Street East address in Lindsay regarding an individual unlawfully in a residence. Police say the caller reported that an unknown female had entered the residence through the front door and had fallen asleep. The caller indicated that they had reported the same female for entering the residence on February 6th however, she was gone prior to police arrival on that date.

On the evening of March 13, the police attended and located the suspect as she left the residence.

23-year-old Chelsea Gawley of Omemee has been charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 6, 2021.
