Firefighters responded to the call just before 1pm on Simcoe Street. The barn collapsed as crews attempted to extinguish the fire. Chief Mark Pankhurst told Kawartha 411 News 7 divisions were called to the fire as well as crews from Brock Fire Department.

Some injured livestock are being attended to by veterinarians according to the Chief. The main barn is a total loss but crews managed to save the adjacent barn. Pankhurst says it was a wind-fed fire.

There’s no word on the cause. Here’s video of the moment the barn collapsed.
