Two People Taken To Hospital After Crash On Highway 36

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people were taken to Ross Memorial Hospital after a crash on Highway 36 this evening.

It happened at the corner of Highway 36 and Thurstonia/Sturgeon Road at around 6:15 pm. One car ended up on its side after rolling over a snowbank. A second vehicle was also involved and appeared to have minimal damage.

Sturgeon Road was down to one lane at the intersection while police had the road blocked off. There’s no word on what caused the crash or if charges will be laid. It’s believed the injuries are not serious.
