Nominations For Accessibility Awareness Awards Now Open

KAWARTHA LAKES-Do you know someone, a community group, organization or business that went above and beyond expectations to promote accessibility in our community during 2020? Kawartha Lakes is holding its fourteenth annual Accessibility Awareness Awards. Nominate them for an award today.

Kawartha Lakes Council has endorsed six award categories offering annual recognition for outstanding contributions in the promotion of a barrier free community. The six categories include: Business, Community Group, Individual, Municipal Employee, New Build or Modification and one of the highest merits, the Barbara McArthur Memorial Award of Distinction that was introduced in 2009 to recognize outstanding achievement on an ongoing basis.

Awards criteria and nomination forms are available online or by calling City Hall Clerk’s Office at (705) 324-9411 extension 1185.

Please remit nominations no later than 4:30pm on Friday, March 26, 2021.
