Toronto Teen Facing Charges After Fentanyl And Cash Seized In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 17-year-old from Toronto is facing charges after police received a call about a suspicious person.

Police say on Sunday February 7, 2021, at 6:33 am, the City of Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a suspicious person in the area of Mary Street West in Lindsay. Police searched the area and located a 17-year-old Toronto-area youth. A police investigation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected Fentanyl and cash according to officials. 

The youth has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
