Second Active Coronavirus Outbreak Declared At Central East Correctional Centre In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Another Coronavirus outbreak has been declared at Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay.

The Health Unit declared the outbreak on Monday, calling in Outbreak B. It’s unclear if this is in a different part of the facility.

Outbreak A was declared on January 29th.The ministry confirmed on Monday that the Central East Correctional Centre has two active inmate cases of COVID-19 and two COVID-positive cases among staff.

We are waiting for an update today on Outbreak A and more details on Outbreak B.

According to the provincial COVID count there is six cases at CECC.
