KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting five new cases of Coronavirus in the City of Kawartha Lakes today.
There are now 31 active cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes with the health unit tracking 71 high risk contacts.
There’s been a total of 328 cases of the virus to date since the pandemic began. The death toll remains the same at 36. There is currently five people in Ross Memorial Hospital with the virus, two are on a ventilator. There’s been 19 hospitalizations to date.
The health unit will not release the specific area within the city where the cases are located nor if the patient has any underlying health conditions.
