Two New Cases Of Coronavirus Reported In Kawartha Lakes Today

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting two new cases of Coronavirus in Kawartha Lakes today.

Recently, case counts have continued to rise along with hospitalizations and deaths.

There is currently 32 active cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes and the health unit is tracking 53 high risk contacts.

There have been 19 hospitalizations since the pandemic began, Five are currently being treated at Ross Memorial Hospital with Coronavirus and two patients have been put on a ventilator.

To Date there’s been 322 cases of the virus in Kawartha Lakes and 36 deaths.

Officials are reminding residents to wear a mask, practice social distancing and stay home if possible.
