Police investigating string of catalytic converter thefts from area businesses and parking lots

KAWARTHA LAKES-Missing your catalytic converter? You’re not the only one.

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating after the police service received five separate reports of catalytic converter thefts from businesses and parking lots in the Lindsay area.

The first report was received on October 13, after it was discovered thieves had broken into a fenced in compound and stole several catalytic converters from vehicles parked inside according to police.

Since then, catalytic converters are known to have been stolen from three other similar locations in Lindsay.
