KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP and emeregency crews are on the scene at a collision that occurred at approximately 1:05pm this afternoon on Highway 28 south of Northeys Bay Road.
Police say two vehicles travelling on Highway 28 were involved in a head on collision. One person has been transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital. Three people have been transported to a local hospital. All injuries are considered nonlife-threatening according to police.
Highway 28 is closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours will be in place on Highway 28 at Northeys Bay Road and Mount Julian-Viamede Road. The closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
