Lindsay man charged after alleged assault outside Kent Street restaurant

UPDATE: A Peace Bond was issued against Potisepp and the charge was withdrawn on June 3,2021.

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 48 year old man from Lindsay is facing charges after an alleged assault outside of a restaurant on Kent Street West.

Police say on June 29th at 3:50PM the Kawartha Lakes Police Service was notified of a disturbance that had just occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant on Kent Street West in Lindsay. When officers arrived, they were informed that a man had just kicked the front grill of a parked vehicle, before also kicking the owner of the vehicle in the leg according to police.

The man then left the parking lot, but was located by police later in the evening.

Charged with assault is 48-year-old Uve Potisepp of Lindsay. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on August 20, 2020.
