Several vehicles spray painted overnight in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Hayley Rodman has lived on Maryknoll Avenue in Lindsay for a year and a half. She’s never had any problems until yesterday.

Rodman’s car was one of at least 12 that were tagged with spray paint overnight. Seven on Maryknoll Avenue alone, some on Melborne Street, Water Street and surrounding areas.

Police are investigating the incident.

“When I called police they said they had an abundance of calls.” Rodman told Kawartha 411 news.

Police say they have received at least five reports from the public.

“This occurred between the area of  Angeline Street South at Durham Street, to the area of Glenelg Street at Albert Street.” Sgt Dave Murtha told Kawartha 411 News. “Many of the complainants were able to scrape the spray-paint off their vehicles without there being any damage, and they simply contacted the police service in order to file a report.  The mischiefs are currently being investigated by our police service.”

“I want whoever did this caught. Someone out there has to have a security camera outside.” Rodman said.
