Alleged impaired driver crashes into building in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Another alleged impaired driver has crashed into a building in Lindsay.

Police say just before 2pm on February 4th the Kawartha Lakes Police Service was notified that a vehicle had driven into the wall of a business on Lindsay Street South in Lindsay.

An officer responded to the scene of the collision to investigate, and determined that the driver of the vehicle was allegedly impaired.

33-year-old Jennafer Dunbar of Lindsay was arrested and has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 5, 2020.

Local police have reported at least seven people have been charged with impaired driving in less than a week.
