10 year old Lindsay boy sporting a different moustache every day for “Movember”

KAWARTHA LAKES-A ten year old Lindsay boy is raising money for men’s health.

Ian Seeley is sporting a different moustache every day to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer as well as men’s mental health.

” I’m trying to raise awareness about prostate cancer and mental health issues for men” ” my goal is to raise $1000. Last time I raised $880.” Ian told Kawartha 411.

This is the second year the student has raised money for the cause and his parents say they couldn’t be more proud.

“He wears the mustache for daily pictures and to school. Sometimes out in public too, if they stay on.” Jokes Derek, Ian’s dad. “My wife and I are both very proud of him for doing this and hope he sticks with it for years to come.”

Movember began in 2003 in Sydney Australia. It is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, anxiety and suicide.

Since 2003 Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world. The Movember movement has grown into a  global one making progress in men’s health.

Ian has raised almost $200 so far. If you are interested in helping him out, click here: https://ca.movember.com/mospace/13677940
