Police identify man found in submerged vehicle near Haliburton

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP has identified a man whose body was found in a submerged vehicle near Haliburton.

Members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP were called to investigate a missing person in Algonquin Highlands on Oct. 29. The vehicle that belonged to the man was located in Kushog Lake near Highway 35 by a family member just after 8:30 a.m. the next day.

The deceased person found inside the vehicle has been identified as 68-year-old Richard Victor Saucier of Algonquin Highlands.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
