Two local men charged after police called to break and enter in progress

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two local males were arrested and charged after officers responded to a break and enter in progress.

Police say at approximately 1:00a.m. on September 26, 2019 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to a residence on Base Line Road in response to a break and enter in progress.

The suspects had left the residence prior to police arrival. Investigation indicated that the males had entered the residence and damaged property according to police. Upon departure, the males had allegedly damaged a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Officers located and arrested the suspects.

Stanley Liscombe, 35 years of age and Elias Liscombe, 28 years of age, were both charged with Break, Enter a place and mischief, over $5 000, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused parties are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 7, 2019.
