Kawartha Lakes Police charge two with alcohol related driving offences

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing a new round of charges after being stopped by police.

Police say on September 21, 2019 at 1:40AM a City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Constable investigated a driver travelling on Kent Street east at Lindsay Street in Lindsay.  The officer determined that the driver was allegedly impaired and arrested him.  Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a blood, alcohol concentration above 0.08 is 29-year-old Joshua David Pidgeon of Lindsay.

Meanwhile Pidgeon was also charged just a few weeks ago .

On Friday September 4th, officers located a suspect after a dirt bike was allegedly stolen around 10 p.m. Police allege the suspect threatened the owner and stole the bike.

Pidgeon was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, uttering a threat to cause death and failure to comply with a probation order.

Back in 2018 Pidgeon was charged after police say a stolen debit card was used at several businesses in Lindsay.

Police say the report of a stolen bank card came in on Friday, July 13 2018. Officers investigated, and a male suspect was identified.

Joshua David Pidgeon was charged with theft under $5,000, four counts of use of a credit card and four counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Driver charged with failing to provide a breath sample to police

On September 22, 2019 at 2:29AM the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a “911” call from a person who suspected a vehicle was being operated by an impaired driver.

Officers located the alleged vehicle and driver a short time later in the area of Glenelg Street west in Lindsay.  T

he driver was arrested and has been charged with failing or refusing to comply with a breath demand.  29-year-old Dylan Robinson of Lindsay will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street west in Lindsay on October 24, 2019.
