Two people injured in float plane crash near Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people were injured in a float plane crash near Bobcaygeon Friday night.

It happened at approximately 7pm on Scotch Line Road. According to witnesses the plane ended up in the ditch and there was debris on the road.Two halls from Kawartha Lakes Fire were called in as well as police.

Both occupants were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours for the investigation and to allow Hydro to attend to wires damaged in the crash.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), Transport Canada, and the Ministry of Environment were all contacted in relation to the incident.
