Woman charged after man allegedly hit with baseball bat in Fenelon Falls

KAWARTHA LAKES-An alleged domestic dispute in Fenelon Falls turned violent on Monday according to police.

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service at a residence on Lindsay Street when it was reported that there was a domestic dispute in progress.

Upon arrival on scene, investigation indicated that a male victim had been struck by a baseball bat according to police.

Officers located the female party believed to be involved in the dispute and arrested her for two counts of the Criminal Code offence of assault with a weapon.

To protect the identity of the victim no names were released.
