Driver critically injured in multi-vehicle crash near Oakwood

KAWARTHA LAKES-Three people were taken to hospital, one with critical injuries after a crash on Highway 7 East of Oakwood on Saturday.

Upon arrival on scene officers observed three vehicles, all with extensive damage.

Police say one of the drivers was transported via ambulance to a local hospital and was later transported to a Toronto area hospital with critical injuries. A second driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries and a passenger in the third vehicle was also transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

Highway 7 was closed for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation, which is on-going at this time.

No word on charges.
