Lindsay man charged in robbery of Kent Street store

KAWARTHA LAKES-Police have charged a Lindsay man after a store on Kent Street in Lindsay was allegedly robbed on July 26th.

At 11:58am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received an emergency phone call to “911” from the cashier of a store located on Kent Street west, near Lindsay Street in Lindsay. 

The cashier reported that a man had just entered the store and demanded money from the till. The man then fled the store on foot, travelling west on Kent Street after receiving money from the cashier. This incident was investigated by both the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Uniform Branch and Criminal Investigation Bureau and on August 9, 2019 the suspect of the robbery was arrested. 

Charged with robbery and with wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence is 35-year-old Kevin Justin Colvin of Lindsay.
