Three people injured in helicopter crash north of Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Three people were taken to hospital after a helicopter crash Saturday just north of the City of Kawartha Lakes

Emergency crews were called in at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday to an area near Cooper’s Falls, Ont. in the area of Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park.

A military search and rescue helicopter transported three people to a Toronto hospital according to Muskoka 411.  One person had serious injuries, the other two had minor injuries.

Transport Canada has been notified of the incident according to police.
