Truck stolen from business on Highway 35 near Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2004 Freightliner M2 truck from a business on Highway 35 south in Lindsay.

Video surveillance of the property captured a lone male suspect walking around the business on Monday August 5, 2019 at 12:23pm. Although no photo was provided by police they say the truck is observed on video being driven from the property less than ten minutes later. The truck is white in colour and has Ontario license plate, “AY55380”.

Investigators would like the public’s assistance to identify the male suspect who was captured on video surveillance prior to the truck being stolen. The suspect is described as male, approximately 40 years old, medium build, wearing a dark coloured baseball hat, black t-shirt with an Echo Ltd logo, green khaki cargo shorts, and white or grey shoes. The man may have a handle bar type mustache and goatee style beard, and is wearing sunglasses.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is actively investigating this theft and is asking that anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them at 705.324.5252.
