PETERBOROUGH-An Ennismore woman was killed and another person injured in a skydiving ancident near Gananoque.
Police say on July 20, 2019 at about 4:10 p.m., OPP officers in Leeds and Thousand Islands Township were advised of a skydiving incident on Airport Road near Gananoque. 63 year old Lynne Mackenzie from Ennismore, Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene and a 31 year old male from Alexandria, Ontario was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The OPP has concluded its investigation and has determined there was no criminal wrong-doing involved. The case has been turned over to Office of the Chief Coroner.The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) was notified of this incident.
