Man facing multiple charges after disturbance on Ridout Street in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES- The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was notified of a disturbance taking place between a group of people in front of a residence on Ridout Street in Lindsay on Monday at 11:30 pm.

Witnesses reported that one man in the group had brandished a knife and threatened to stab the others.  The armed man, who police say was responsible for causing the disturbance had fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.  The incident was investigated jointly by the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Uniform Branch, as well as the Criminal Investigation Bureau. On Thursday July 18th as suspect was arrested.

Charged with three counts of uttering a threat to cause death, causing a disturbance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault, failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance and four counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order is 35-year-old Jonathon Cecil Young of Lindsay.
