KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27 year old Burlington man who now faces a number of charges after an investigation by Kawartha lakes OPP.
On July 8, 2019 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to a residence on Rose Street when the resident reported the theft of a vehicle.
Officers were following up on this incident when the stolen vehicle was located and stopped on July 9th. As the officers approached the vehicle, the driver took off and could not be re-located according to police.
On July 10, 2019 officers located the stolen vehicle in the Trent Lakes area. Through investigation the suspect driver was identified and then located in the Bobcaygeon area where he was arrested. William Quinn has been charged with the following Criminal Code charges:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation while Prohibited
- Flight from peace officer
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (Vehicle)
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000Â (Licence Plate)
- Forcible Confinement
Quinn also faces several Highway Traffic Act related offences:
- Fail to Stop for Police
- Driving While Under Suspension
- Drive Motor Vehicle, Fail to Display Two Plates
