OPP hosting senior fraud prevention seminar in Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-Every day it’s seems like a new scam pops up. The Kawartha Lakes OPP is hoping to help seniors recognize these frauds for what they are and not fall victim.

It’s called Reduce Your Risk-Protect Yourself from Senior Fraud Scams. It will be held at the Bobcaygeon Seniors Centre, 100 Head Street on June 17th from 1-2:30pm.

OPP Constable Carrie Lanning will be the speaker and says close to 100 people have already registered.  “I will be discussing the CRA scam; credit card compromise; purchase of I-Tunes or gift cards; Identity theft.” Lanning said.
