Police looking for tips after suspicious fire at soccer clubhouse under construction

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes Police are looking for tips after a suspicious fire at a soccer clubhouse under construction in Lindsay

Police say on June 12th the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a report of a suspicious fire at the construction site of a new soccer clubhouse on Colborne Street West in Lindsay.

The investigating officer determined that sometime between 5:00pm on June 11, 2019 and 10:00am on June 12, 2019 an unknown person entered the construction site and ignited a small fire in the south east corner of the unfinished building. The fire caused damaged to the inner south wall and the windows that had not been installed. The fire appears to have extinguished itself before spreading further.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is actively investigating this arson and is asking that anyone who may have information regarding the incident contact them at 705.324.5252.
