Charges laid in 2018 fatality in Carden Township

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes OPP have charged a man in a fatality dating back to 2018.

Police say on June 17, 2018 at approximately 4:15am emergency services personnel, including officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence in Carden Township.

Investigation indicated that the victim, 19 year old, Lucas Dunlop of Sebright had allegedly been struck by a vehicle at a Joyland Beach location earlier that night. According to police he was initially transported to a residence where his condition deteriorated and emergency services were called. The victim was pronounced deceased at the residence.

Following an investigation, 25 year old, Glenn WHITE of Ramara Township has been charged with the following offences:

  • Attempt Obstruct Justice contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Public Mischief contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
