Suspects wanted for fraud in Ajax used banks in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Police are looking for two suspects after almost $40,000 was allegedly taken from an Ajax woman’s bank account.

The 60-year-old woman reported she was contacted by her bank in March 2019 to advise there had been fraudulent activity on her account.

Two suspects are seen on surveillance video accessing the woman’s account, both in person and at bank machines. The fraudulent transactions took place between March 25-27, 2019. The suspects attended bank tellers and bank machines in Oshawa, Sunderland, Belleville and Lindsay.

Anyone with new information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Hawkes of the West Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2528.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
