Peterborough man charged in crash near Omemee

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 45 year old Peterborough man is facing charges after a single vehicle crash near Omemee.

Police say at approximately 2:45p.m., officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 7, near Omemee.

On arrival at the scene, officers observed a vehicle in the ditch and subsequently initiated an investigation that resulted in the arrest of the driver.

Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and determined that he had been consuming alcohol according to police. Police say the driver refused to provide a sample of his breath when requested to do so.

Gregory Sullivan, 45 years of age, of Peterborough was charged with refusing to comply with demand, contrary to the Criminal Code.
