Crews battle house fire on Northline Road

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes Fire crews are battling a large blaze on Northline Road.

The call came in at approximately 5 o’clock. District Fire Chief Dave Kish told Kawartha 411 the home was fully involved. Crews from four halls are still working to put out the fire but the home has been totally lost.

Two people have been displaced as a result of the fire but no one was physically injured.

This is all that was left of the house on Monday morning. Friends say the occupants were getting married in a few weeks and have lost everything. Cash donations are being accepted at the Country Cupboard in Fenelon Falls as one of the occupants works there.

There’s no word on the cause.

Northline Road from County Road 8 to Poulsam Road is closed.
