Drivers shocked to see police with guns drawn on busy Peterborough street

PETERBOROUGH-In a Facebook video that has since been deleted Peterborough Police could be seen pointing their guns at a vehicle and one officer shouting “move your hand again and your going to get shot”

The video was shot on Wednesday at approximately 7pm by a shocked driver passing by the scene. At one point one of the people making the video comments “I hope they don’t start shooting.” The video was posted to facebook and later deleted after racking up views and shares.

Police say uniform patrol members of the Peterborough Police Service conducted a high risk vehicle stop on Lansdowne St, in the area of Park St, in the City of Peterborough. This stop was in connection to a fraud investigation, and resulted in the arrest of four individuals according to police.

The investigation is still on-going, and further information will be released today.

“There is no danger to the public at this time. The police would like to thank the motorists affected by this stop for their patience and support.” said Staff Sergeant Peter Sejrup.

Here’s some video shot later by Peterborough Scanner Feed.
