Unlocked vehicles a concern for OPP

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes Ontario Provincial Police continues to receive calls for service related to unlocked vehicles being entered and then items within being stolen.

Police say crime prevention is a shared responsibility and the OPP would like to remind everyone to:

  • Keep your vehicle registration certificate and proof of insurance on you at all times.
  • Never leave valuable items in full view – put them in the trunk.
  • Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running
  • LOCK IT OR LOSE IT
