Go Fund Me campaign set up to help Bobcaygeon man who “lost everything” in house fire

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Go Fund Me campaign has been set up to help 79 year old Al Cochrane who lost everything in a house fire on Monday.

Fire crews were called to the blaze on Monday morning in Bobcaygeon and encountered thick black smoke. The home was destroyed. Cochrane was taken to hospital after going back into the flames to search for his cat, who perished in the fire.

“He has lost everything, all of his valuables including many of his carvings and memories collected over the years (including those from our late grandmother).” Said his granddaughter Ashlie Mubarek, “We are looking for help to get our grampa set up with the basic necessities, and back on his feet this winter. Thank you for considering helping our grandpa!”
