KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes Police is investigating a serious crash on Little Britain Road.
Witnesses say one person is in serious condition and there were two cars were involved.
Police say at 3:20pm a vehicle travelling east on Little Britain Road at Elm Tree Road was struck by a second vehicle also travelling east on Little Britain Road. The two vehicles came to a stop in the ditch at the north east corner of the intersection. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service attended the scene of the collision with the Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service and the Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service. One occupant from one of the vehicles involved was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection of Little Britain Road and Elm Tree Road was closed until 8:30pm while the scene was investigated. Technical Collision Investigators from the Ontario Provincial Police attended to assist with the investigation.
